We are thrilled to announce that Billings' own Barb Olson will be teaching a class for us on Saturday, November 8, 2008. Many of you know Barb and have possibly taken classes from her. Barb is a national and international award-winning quilt artist. Her quilts have appeared in publications and exhibits around the world.
The Thread Creates the Design
Most often the quilting plays a supporting roll in a quilt. With a Bernina, free-hand quilting designs, and an array of beautiful threads, the quilting takes top billing. This class will give students the opportunity to develop quilt designs, and experience stitching the designs with different types and weights of threads. This small project will showcase the Bernina's ability to create beautiful stitches with many different types of threads. (Basic sewing skills required.)
Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Cost: $25.00 plus supplies (Pick up supply list when you register.)

Quilting Strip Poker
Summer is done — it is time for strip poker again! Keep the dates open so you will be able to join us. Remember, you do not need to know how to play poker! There is a $10 buy in fee and you may be one of the winners who goes home with enough fabric strips to complete a quilt top! We laugh, we snack, and we just have fun! And if you decide to shop, there is 20% off any purchases made that evening!

Handiquilter Club is on Saturdays and open to everyone. Myrt teaches new and frequently used techniques, and shares her knowledge from personal and classroom experience on the HandiQuilter. Membership fees are $20.00/year.
